Yahoo! Sport | Ullrich to miss 2003 world championships
[Ullrich's manager Wolfgang] Strohband on Sunday told German sports agency SID that 29-year-old Ullrich would not participate in the event from October 6-12, as the Olympic champion wanted to concentrate on preparing for the 2004 Tour de France.
That's a short off-season.
