Rebellin will skip Tour
BBC SPORT | Rebellin to miss Tour
Gerolsteiner rider Davide Rebellin, who leads the World Cup standings, will skip the Tour de France to focus on the late season one-day events, including the World Championships in Verona, Italy.
"I decided to give up the additional engagement in the Tour and concentrate on a possible World Cup victory," the 33-year-old said.
Rebellin took an unusual hat trick in April, winning Amstel Gold, Fleche-Wallone, and Liege-Bastogne-Liege in one week.
