Wrapping up Stage 4
Daily Peloton | Tour de France: The Jambon Report - Stage 4
Over at Daily Peloton, Locutus gives the best description I've heard of the supermodified showroom-stock Team Time Trial Lite the Tour ran today:
Today wasn't a time trial: it was a 64.5km bonus sprint.
Amen, bruthah.
Locutus now picks Hamilton as the biggest challenger, based on his ability to TT in with 4 teammates faster than anybody but the Blue Train of US Postal.
He also points out that Carlos Sastre suffered the same fate as Simoni, which I should have noticed when posting GC; that might help Bobby Julich's chances of becoming a GC candidate for CSC, which I don't think was Bjarne's plan coming in.
Anyway, it's worth a full read, and not just for the Chris "Don't call me Shelley" Berman-style nicknames. My favorite: Pavel "The Gavel" Padrnos.
