AG2R official arrested in 'pot belge' probe

Eurosport | Team chief Biondi held in doping probe

Laurent Biondi, currently the assistant manager of AG2R, was arrested on Wednesday in a drug probe that has already led to charges against 18 others, including Laurent Roux.

Biondi was still in custody on Friday in Grenoble. Authorities believe Biondi was involved in a ring of cycling pros dealing "Belgian pot", a mix of heroin, cocaine, and amphetamines (some say analgesics or cortisone are also in the soup).

AG2R's director said Biondi would be immediately removed if he's found guilty in the case.
