Rumsas charged, released on doping charges
ESPN.com | Cyclist Rumsas released ahead of French doping trial
Raimondas Rumsas of Lithuania finished 3rd in the 2002 Tour de France. On the last day of the race, his wife Edita was arrested by customs officials with doping products in her car. Officials were dubious of her explanation, that the drugs were for her mother.
Rumsas was arrested in June on the resulting charges, and has been in custody since, but he was released on Friday and ordered not to leave his home until the November trial.
