Ullrich going all Johnny Whitaker
Whitaker or Patrick?
I missed the AP picture at left, of Ullrich at T-Mobile's team intro Saturday, but I wanted to take the opportunity to publicly beg Jan Ullrich to shave his head; I'm flashing back to the kiddie TV programming of my youth.
I can't decide whether he's more Johnny Whitaker (I'm thinking "Family Affair" rather than "Sigmund and the Sea-Monsters") or Butch Patrick in "Lidsville."

Jank, Thanks for the comment, but I grew up a Reds fan, and only ever remember Rose with the crew-cut and the bowl-cut, and Google image searches for "Pete Rose afro", "Pete Rose fro", and "Pete Rose permanent", all turn up a blank.
Could you be thinking of Rose's Phillies teammate Mike Schmidt?
