Hincapie escapes surgeon's knife, out only 1 week
George Hincapie will not need surgery, as originally reported, to repair damage in his shoulder from his crash late in Sunday's Paris-Roubaix.
Doctors diagnosed Hincapie's injury as a third-degree shoulder separation. He can return to the bike in “about a week,” and expects to line up next at the Dauphiné Libéré in June.
