'Confidential' authors: We gave Armstrong chance to respond
Procycling | Ballester: We gave Armstrong right of reply
The authors of L.A. Confidential: The Secrets of Lance Armstrong (now available in French at Amazon France, and to be released in the UK July 3rd if it survives the legal challenge) told Le Monde Friday that they asked Armstrong and US Postal to respond to the book in May "out of concern that they may contest" its content.
"The only response we received was a threat from their lawyer to take legal action against us if we did anything which could tarnish the image of Lance Armstrong," said Ballester.
