Popovych takes Tour of Catalonia

Discovery Channel's Yaroslav Popovych coasted to the overall victory at the Tour of Catalonia on Sunday.
Popovych had raced only 8 days this season, as he worked out visa problems, but he looked strong in the tour's climbing time trial, where he was 5th overall, and limited damage by the climbers the next day.
Popovych now hopes to be selected for his first ride in the Tour de France."With me winning here and (Italian team mate) Paolo Savoldelli in the lead in the Giro d'Italia, Lance can count on some great backing," he said.
