Add Watson to the list that says the Tour is over. With the abandon by Valverde, he says:
...we can only watch and see when Moreau drops off the pace and how soon Basso takes that 3rd-place for himself and perhaps attacks Rasmussen for his second place. It would have been a lot more exciting to have a Spaniard up there with these guys, for we are on the frontier with Spain and there will be hundreds of thousands of Spaniards waiting to cheer their men on.

Graham takes nice pictures but it's odd to say that The Tour result is a foregone conclusion.
A 38 second lead, a weakened team...
Higgins (Discovery publicist) let slip (on his little Sirius radio podcast) that Pavel and Chechu are sick.
Rabobank and Rasmussen are staying quiet in the press but they've got an amazing shot at the upset of the century.
And then there's Vino. Never forget that guy.
And I don't think anyone else is up to the task of challenging. It is too bad Valverde withdrew, defusing the big weekend showdown.
