Mayo positive for EPO during Tour
Yahoo! Eurosport | Mayo positive for EPO
The hits just keep coming at Radio Tour. Saunier Duval's Iban Mayo has been suspended pending a B-sample after his July 24th A-sample tested positive for EPO.
“In line with the fight against doping that the team fully support, the rider is immediately suspended until the B sample has been tested,” Saunier Duval said in a statement.“If that is confirmed as positive as well, we will proceed to rescind his contract.”
Mayo finished 16th overall in the 2007 Tour.

Any word on when the team or UCI officials were actually notified about this positive? I can't believe anybody was working in the drug lab over the weekend in France. So that makes me think they knew Friday and delayed the announcement until after the Tour was over so they wouldn't have to can the entire Saunier-Duval team, including David Millar.
